The Community Outreach and Public Education team provides community based programs to enhance critical links of the Chain of Survival, including recognition of emergencies, early CPR and early defibrillation. These programs include public awareness and education to citizens of Manheim Township regarding Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, AED training, recognition of medical emergencies, calling 911 for medical assistance, injury prevention, and health education on disaster preparedness.

Success in saving lives begins well before 911 is ever contacted. Join us in making Manheim Township a safer community

What if your husband collapsed from Cardiac Arrest while mowing the lawn? Could you help? If your elderly mother had a stroke, or became disabled, could you prevent falls, or injuries in her home?

If the next Lancaster earthquake that strikes happens to be much larger, are you prepared to survive 3 days without help?

The EMS Public outreach and education section can help you learn to save a family member using CPR. It can help you prevent falls in the home of your elderly family members! We can help you prepare you home to be alone after an earthquake! We can help you be a better prepared citizen.
